Maharashtra Rains: IMD issues red alert for Pune, orange alert for Mumbai, Thane

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Palghar, Pune, and Satara districts in Maharashtra on August 4, with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected at isolated places and extremely heavy rainfall in Palghar. An orange alert has been issued for Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Sindhudurg, and Nashik districts. Moderate rain is predicted in plain areas and extremely heavy rainfall in ghat areas for Pune and Satara.
