Rain threat stays up in the 2nd ODI between India and Sri Lanka. The series is currently at 0-0 after 1st ODI which ended in a tie. As per weather forecasts, rain and thunderstorms are predicted during the 2ns ODI and there is possibility of a washout.

There is heavy rain predicted in Colombo in the morning. There is more than 50% chance of rain around 3 hour before the start of the game. The good news is that Colombo has a very good drainage system and the game will start very soon after the rain stops pouring. There is frequent rain expected throughout the day with chances floating around 50% between 2:00 PM IST and 5:00 PM IST. After that, the chance of rain will go down to mid 30s before going up to 50s line again. If the forecast comes true, a complete 50-over game will pretty much not be possible. Even a reduced game will not be possible if the rain keeps continuously pourig.

If this goes on, India will also be disappointed as they could not take a lead in the 3-match series. India was in a great position to win the match as they only gave out 230 runs. Then the team started comfortably going through runs. However, a strong comeback by Sri Lankan bowlers saw the downfall, as Indian team lost continuous wickets. Sri Lanka eventually managed to tie the game when the scores were same. Though Rohit Sharma scored a fantastic half-century, other batters were a big letdown.
