Matt Damon is Classically Cool in All-White Sneakers for ‘The Instigators’ Premiere in New York

Matt Damon attended the New York premiere of “The Instigators” at Jazz at Lincoln Center on July 31. Damon was joined by his “The Instigators” co-star Casey Affleck.

Simple and classic, the “Good Will Hunting” actor laced up a pair of stark all-white sneakers. The low-top style was comprised of canvas uppers, non-slip rubber soles and matching white lace-up closures. The style offered Damon’s look a casual touch, offsetting the formal nature of the event and his look.

No matter the style, white sneakers can take any ensemble up a notch, providing an ultra-clean look you can’t really get with more colorful styles. From Nike to Keds and Converse, a multitude of top brands stock similar stylish all-white silhouettes.

Damon is a major fan of sneakers, much like his long-time friend and fellow actor Ben Affleck. The actor is a fan of Nike silhouettes in retro styles and neutral hues. When he’s not in sneakers, the thespian has gravitated towards oxford-inspired Dr. Martens and sleek dress shoes in the past.

Clad in neutrals, the “Air” actor was styled in a tan suiting moment worthy of the red carpet. The star’s look was comprised of a blazer fixed with black buttons and tailored slacks. Underneath his blazer, Damon wore a plain white t-shirt tucked neatly into his pants. Plain and simple, Damon’s look is a reminder that sometimes less is more.

“The Instigators,” Damon’s latest project, is generating significant buzz. The film, available on Apple TV, follows two thieves who must go on the run with the help of one of their therapists after a robbery goes awry.
