Sri Lanka’s cricket team has now to face a major setback as their star all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has been ruled out of the ODI series against Sri Lanka. The former T20I captain has been put to the side from the entire series because of a hamstring injury.

Wanindu Hasaranga faced a left hamstring injury while he was bowling against India in the 1st ODI match. This incident happened during the last ball of his 10th over. MRI scans confirmed the diagnostics. However, Sri Lanka will be hoping for him to have a speedy recovery, taking into consideration that he had already missed an entire IPL season earlier this year due to another injury in his heel.

Sri Lanka’s bowling attach has suffered a significant blow with Wanindu Hasaranga’s injury, as he now sits with Matheesha Pathirana and Dilshan Madhushanka on the sidelines. The absence of their key bowlers has definitely weakened the team’s bowling.
