'Judge Chutkan doesn't play': Trump loses bid to toss D.C. case for vindictive prosecution

Donald Trump on Saturday received some bad news from D.C. when Judge Chutkan issued an opinion rejecting his effort to toss his election subversion case over claims of vindictive prosecution.

Kyle Cheney, senior legal affairs reporter for Politico, flagged the filing on his social media.

"BREAKING: Judge CHUTKAN has *rejected* Donald Trump motion to dismiss the DC case against him over claims of 'vindictive prosecution,'" Cheney wrote Saturday.

Cheney added that Chutkan's ruling is "pretty simple."

"Trump has presented virtually no evidence that he is being singled out for prosecution by his political opponents — and the evidence he does cite is so thin or disconnected from his sweeping claims that it can't support dismissal," he wrote.

Political analyst Mueller, She Wrote, responding to the news on Saturday, said, "Judge Chutkan DOESN’T PLAY."
