Adele Pauses Munich Residency Show to Watch This Olympic Event

Adele is just like us: By that, we mean that she also took a break in the middle of a shift to watch an Olympic event!

The 36-year-old Grammy winner is performing a run of shows in Munich, Germany, which she kicked off on Friday night (August 2). She took the stage again on Saturday but put things on pause to tune in for a big race during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The event in question was the women’s 100 meters race, which featured United States runner Sha’Carri Richardson. She secured her first-ever Olympic medal after finishing in second place with a time of 10.87 seconds. The gold went to Julien Alfred from Saint Lucia.

A fan video that is going viral on X (formerly Twitter), offers an inside glimpse at Adele‘s residency in Messe München. In it, all of the screens on the stage are broadcasting the race!
