Ryan Reynolds Opens Up About Casting Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds opened up about the biggest surprise casting decision in Deadpool & Wolverine – Lady Deadpool.

After weeks of speculation, Blake Lively confirmed that she played the masked character in the blockbuster.

In a new interview, Ryan revealed how they decided to feature her and joked about the role.

“I’ve been sleeping with her,” he jokingly said on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast, via Digital Spy. “Not saying that she’s enjoying the sleeping together part, but I’m just saying I have.”

What actually happened?

“Yeah, it was kind of one of those things where you’re like, ‘Well, why not?’ I mean, go for it, of course. I mean, we’re all there together anyway. Let’s go nuts,” he recalled, adding that “it was a lot of fun.”

Ryan continued, praising Blake: “Yeah, she did love it. And she’s one of the funniest people I know.”
