Man Utd ‘can’t catch a break’ as defender suffers injury in pre-season loss to Liverpool to add to Erik ten Hag woes
MANCHESTER UNITED were handed another injury blow during their pre-season tour.
The Red Devils were in action against Liverpool as they ended their tour across the Atlantic ocean.
Arne Slot’s side ran out 3-0 winners, but Erik ten Hag will be more worried about the injuries his team sustained in the match.
Jonny Evans was forced off at half-time due to illness, while Victor Lindelof was also replaced.
The manager insisted that the Swede’s substitution was a “precaution” but there will still be concern.
Youngster Will Fish suffered an “impact” injury and had to be stretchered off against the Reds.
The 21-year-old looked in pain as he was carried off the pitch at the Williams-Brice Stadium in South Carolina.
After the game, Ten Hag said: “We have to see what has gone on.
“The assessment, of course, with Will Fish is it’s an impact injury.
“We also had to sub Jonny Evans at half-time because he was ill.

“Victor Lindelof [was] a precaution. So, yeah, there are some injuries, but we have to see how bad it will be.”
Fans were left in shock on social media due to United’s bad luck with injuries during pre-season.
One posted: “We can’t catch a break.”
A second commented: “We aren’t going to have a team left man.”

Man United have already lost striker Rasmus Hojlund for six weeks as Ten Hag plans to use Jadon Sancho as a false nine to replace him.
New signing Leny Yoro also picked up an injury during the US tour and will be sidelined for three months.
