He is known to go to east London and south-east London.

A force spokesperson said: “Members of the public should NOT approach him.

“If seen, call 999 immediately. Information to his whereabouts can be shared with the incident room on 0208 345 3715 quoting Operation Brooktunnel.

“The investigation is led by Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers in the Met’s Specialist Crime (Homicide) Command.”

It comes after cops were called to Northwold Road in Hackney at around 11pm on Tuesday, July 30.

Paramedics responded to reports of a stabbing but despite their best efforts sadly pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

A post mortem examination determined the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest.

Officers have since arrested a woman, 30, on suspicion of assisting an offender, and she remains in custody.

The force added: “Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call the incident room on 0208 345 3715, 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD 8517/30Jul. You can also provide information, completely anonymously, to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“Additionally, if you know someone who is regularly carrying a knife, you can also pass that information to us, without telling the police who you are, through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Knife crime hurts all our communities – you can help us tackle this.”
