Brit tourist ‘raped & robbed’ after being lured to Palma beach by suspect ‘before 2nd attacker joined in on sex assault’

A BRITISH tourist has been assisted by cops after claiming she was raped and robbed on a beach in Majorca.

The 30-year-old told cops she agreed to go to the beach with a man she’d met and consented to have sex with but a second man then appeared and allegedly forced himself on her in the vile attack.

They then fled with her belongings, according to the holidaymaker.

Cops are probing the abominable attack that allegedly took place on a beach near the Majorca’s capital Palma in the early hours of Thursday morning.

It said they had agreed to have sex on the sand before things took a horrific “unexpected turn” when another man arrived.

The Brit victim, now said to be back in London, was taken to Son Espases Hospital in Palma for a routine medical exploration after alerting cops and telling them she wanted to file a formal complaint.

It was not immediately clear this morning if she had ratified her complaint in court in front of a judge before she returned home.

The Brit woman had been “visibly affected” and in a “state of shock” from the alleged heinous act, local reports say.

Balearic Island cops admitted earlier this year thieves targeting holidaymakers who had gone to the beach to have a late-night dip amongst other things were a big problem for them in peak season.

Little is known about the men said to have been involved in Thursday’s monstrous incident, including their ages or nationality.

Parts of Playa de Palma have been watched this summer over tourist misbehaviour and criminals – especially pickpockets who target holidaymakers.

Head of National Police for the area Francisco Javier Santos attempted to reassure holidaymakers that it was a safe place for tourists.

He said to local media: “The level of criminality is relatively limited.”
