Make our water harder, we won’t use so much

As Larnaca residents we have received via email various instructions on how to save or economise on water usage. 

Larnaca water is, I believe by nature, very soft and for that reason it takes much more water to remove soap when washing or showering compared to hard water. 

My point is this, why not use a “water hardener” to harden the Larnaca water, just a little to save on water usage.

Another thing is why not prevent or make it illegal for landlords to add a water softener into apartments’ water systems in order to make it even softer. We have it at our flat but don’t know how widespread this practice is.

Soft water is very slippery and does not remove soap and suds easily, therefore very wasteful.
