According to a report in TuttoSport, (as relayed by The Standard) rumoured Tottenham target Adrien Rabiot is keen on completing a move to Manchester United before the start of the new season.

Adrien Rabiot is available on a free transfer

Rabiot is currently a free agent after his contract with Juventus ran out earlier this summer, with the midfielder’s future very much up in the air.

It was reported by TuttoJuve last month that Tottenham are one of the clubs plotting a move for the French international, who was alleged to be looking for a new challenge.

It was subsequently reported by Fabrizio Romano that the 29-year-old was ‘dreaming’ of a switch to the Premier League this summer.

Manchester United have an advantage

TuttoSport have now claimed that Rabiot wants to complete a move to Old Trafford this summer after Manchester United expressed their interest in the player.

The report claims that the experienced midfielder is of interest to many top sides around Europe, with Liverpool one of the sides alleged to have made contact with the player.

However, it is revealed that the former Paris Saint-Germain star has his heart set on a move to Manchester and is set to hold talks with the Red Devils over the coming days.

Rabiot is not a particularly good fit for the Postecoglou project, given his age and his personality.

I am not surprised that Spurs have not become overly involved in the race for the Frenchman’s signature.
