Paragliding Weather Forecast for the Vancouver, Chilliwack, Bellingham, Seattle, Whistler & Pemberton area, based on data available at 0500.

High pressure with mostly sunny skies, except Pemberton with 30% POP and possibility of thunderstorm. 

YVR 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable. Vancouver valley winds E to 5 km/hr becoming W to 5 km/hr.   Chilliwack Valley winds light and variable becoming forecast as W to 20 gusting to 40 km/hr by noon, but forecast is suspect.  Expect actual to be 15-20 km/hr and not until 1500. 

SEA 3000 ft winds aloft light and variable. Valley winds light and variable becoming SW to 15 km/hr.

1. Paragliding Seattle: -2.4C/1000ft Intermediate peak lapse rate.  Great day for Tiger for P2 pilots 0800-1400 and 1800-2000 with P3 conditions at peak 1400-1800. Paragliding opportunities 90%. 

2. Paragliding Vancouver: -2.1C/1000ft Novice peak lapse rate.   Nice day for Grouse for GMFT 1000-2000 for P3 to P4 pilots. Chances for paragliding 90%.

3. Paragliding Chilliwack: -2.3C/1000ft Novice peak lapse rate.  Mt. Woodside for P2 pilots 0800-1400 then watch for increasing wind to possibly blown out conditions. Bridal FSR is closed for maintenance. 90% chances to fly early, 50% late. 

4. Paragliding Bellingham: -2.0C/1000ft Novice peak lapse rate.  Blanchard for P2 pilots 0900-1900. Chances to paraglide 90%. 

5. Paragliding Pemberton: -3.0C/1000ft Advanced peak lapse rate. 30% POP and probability of over development with possibility of thunderstorm makes Pemberton a "no go" today. 

6. Paragliding Whistler: -3.5C/1000ft XXX peak forecast lapse rate.   30% POP, and probability of over development with possibility of thunderstorm, XXX lapse rate and probable arrival of Whistler Express S wind means Whistler is "no go" today.
