Coronation Street star reveals he’s going to be a dad for the first time in sweet pregnancy reveal video
CORONATION Street hunk Richard Fleeshman is set to be a dad for the first time.
The soap hunk revealed he and his actress fiancée Celinde Schoenmaker are expecting their first child.
The actor, who is best known for playing Craig Harris on the ITV soap, shared his and Celinde’s joyous news to fans on Sunday afternoon.
He reposted a video of his stunning partner as she reveals her baby bump to the camera.
Captioning the video, actress and singer Celinde wrote: “We’ve not met you yet, but never been more in love.
“I don’t think Luna (the couple’s beloved pet cat) realizes she’s not gonna be the cutest in the household for much longer. @rfleeshman so many new adventures ahead.”
Richard quickly added a string of red love heart emojis underneath the sweet clip.
The couple’s followers and celebrity pals were then quick to offer their messages of congratulations.
TV presenter Laura Whitmore wrote: “Congrats guys!!” While I’m A Celeb star Giovanna Fletcher gushed: “I love this for you all!!! Xxxxxxx.”
Eastenders hunk Bradley Jaden added a string of love heart eye emojis, and former X Factor star turned West End actress Lucie Jones penned: “Congratulations lovely.”
Richard, 35, has been in a relationship with Dutch actress Celinde since 2018.
The pair announced their engagement in 2022.
The actor was previously in a controversial relationship with former Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallet, who was more than 7 years his senior when they started dating when Richard was just 16.
He spoke out to slam her after she took part in Celebrity Big Brother in 2018 and was involved in a controversial situation with Ryan Thomas.
She falsely accused fellow housemate Ryan of punching her.
Richard – who dated Roxanne from 2001 until 2007 – wrote on Twitter at the time: “Here’s the thing… you can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.”
Richard had previously ‘liked’ tweets by Emmerdale’s Charley Webb and fellow soap actress Hayley Tamaddon backing Ryan.
Richard first rose to fame when he landed the role of schoolboy Craig Harris in 2002 aged just 12.
He then went on to spend almost five years in the role before leaving to launch a music career in late 2006.
Since quitting the soap, Richard has forged out a hugely successful acting and stage career.
He has appeared in numerous West End and touring productions.
Richard has also had roles in numerous TV shows inc Call the Midwife, The Sandman, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Death in Paradise.
The former soap hunk is currently the lead in popular Sci-Fi series The Ark.
