Thunderstorm chances continue in Central Oregon, toasty again in PDX Sunday

Sunday's forecast throughout the PNW calls for thunderstorms over the Cascades and in eastern Oregon and Washington.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — We saw mostly cloudy and hazy conditions around Portland on Saturday as we reached 85 degrees.

Toasty daytime highs return to wrap up our weekend. Temperatures will look to climb back into the low 90s across the Portland metro area on Sunday along with mostly sunny conditions, but many will still see widespread haze across our region.

Sunday's forecast throughout our region also calls for thunderstorms over the Cascades and in eastern Oregon and Washington. With this threat of lightning, there is still a Red Flag Warning in effect for much of Central and Eastern Oregon as the wildfire potential continues to stay elevated through the weekend.

There is also an Air Quality Advisory in place for Eugene, Florence and Oakridge -- as well as portions of Central and Eastern Oregon. This advisory is in effect until further notice.

Looking to next week, Portland's afternoon highs remain above normal as temps hovering in the low to mid 90s. For the morning lows, they will hang out at right about 60 degrees for a majority of the week.
