NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Look for conditions to stay on the soupy side for yet another day in New York and New Jersey Sunday.

Early-morning clouds and fog will give way to a mix of sun and clouds Sunday afternoon. A pop-up shower or thunderstorm could develop as well.

Highs will primarily be in the mid to upper 80s, although a few 90s are possible in some locations.

Hotter and more humid conditions are likely on Monday. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid-90s, and heat index values will be around 100. Expect cooler temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday.
