Juvenile injured in south Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A juvenile is recovering after they were shot in south Columbus on Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the area of Lockbourne and Smith roads at about 6:19 a.m. on Sunday on report of a shooting, according to the Columbus Division of Police. The minor victim, whose exact age hasn't been released, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg and transported to a hospital in stable condition.

While the victim is expected to recover from their injury, the incident is still under investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to call 614-645-4141.
