Former India cricketer Dodda Ganesh criticized Arshdeep Singh for his lack of game awareness shown during the first ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Friday. The match ended in a tie as Arshdeep, who was India’s last wicket was dismissed by Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka on a duck to deny the Men in Blue of the win and hold them to a tie. After the match, Arshdeep got heavily criticized by fans on social media.

Along with the fans, former Indian cricketer Dodda Ganesh also wasn’t impressed with Arshdeep’s performance and took to social media to criticize the pacer.

“You can’t expect run from the tail enders but a bit of game awareness is paramount for any cricketer. That shot from Arshdeep isn’t going to impress the coach Gambhir,” Ganesh posted on X.

Arshdeep did do well with the ball either as he picked up 2 wickets (joint-most for an Indian bowler in the match) and gave away 47 runs in his 8 overs.
