According to HITC, Chelsea may battle Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke this summer.

Tottenham are interested in Solanke

The report reveals that Spurs have been interested in Solanke since the January transfer window and are expected to push ahead with a move for the striker.

However, it is explained that Bournemouth have not had any contact from any club regarding the Englishman so far this summer.

It is further explained that Solanke is also on the radar of Chelsea, who are on the lookout for a new number nine, with the Blues potentially set to enter the race for the 26-year-old’s signature.

Bournemouth and Solanke’s stance

HITC states that Solanke is ready to swap Bournemouth for a bigger club this summer and is attracted by the prospect of testing himself at a top side.

However, despite this openness to a move, he is also said to be happy at the Vitality Stadium and would be willing to stay if Spurs or another top club do not formalise their interest.

The publication adds that as things stand, the Cherries expect the former Liverpool man to stay, given that he is protected by a £65m release clause.
