Teenager accused of leaving scene of hit-and-run crash on Long Island: SCPD

WYANDANCH, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A teenager is accused of being involved in a hit and run that seriously injured a person on Long Island on Sunday, according to officials.

A Nissan Rogue headed west on Parron Avenue around 1:30 a.m. hit a stopped Kia, causing it to crash into a Toyota Camry, police said. Meyli Henriquez, 20, became pinned between the Kia and Camry. The people inside the Nissan ran on foot away from the crash.

Henriquez was airlifted to the hospital, where he is being treated for severe injuries. Two other people were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The 16-year-old Brentwood boy was found at his home and was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash with serious injuries, according to officials.
