Cyprus Standards Organisation and EIMF sign cooperation agreement

The Cyprus Standards Organisation (CYS) and the European Institute of Management & Finance (EIMF) have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The signing of the MoU aims to enhance collaboration within their respective areas of expertise, according to an official announcement.

“The MoU marks a significant step forward in strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two organisations,” the announcement said.

“The agreement aims to foster synergy within the framework provided by their respective domains of responsibility,” it added.

Moreover, the announcement explained that key areas of joint interest and activity outlined in the MoU include corporate governance, sustainable finance, financial management, and compliance management.

In addition, the agreement also entails “joint training and research projects, as well as the exchange of technical expertise, with the goal of promoting knowledge sharing”.

Furthermore, in a meeting involving officials from both organisations, views were exchanged and a plan of action was agreed upon, stemming from the MoU.

These actions, the announcement explained, will be “managed collaboratively by interested parties from both sides”, with progress being recorded and reviewed as deemed appropriate.

Finally, it was noted that the MoU was signed by Athina Panayiotou, director general of the CYS, and Marios Siathas, CEO of EIMF. The signing took place at the EIMF offices.
