We’re regular bedroom gamers but have now broken eSport world records on racing title – here’s how we did it
TWO bedroom gamers have smashed eSports speedrunning world records on a hit racing title.
Dan Riley, from Devon, and Josh Edwards, Bournemouth, Dorset, completed the incredible feats on Grid Legends.
The pair took on the challenge as part of research into UK gamers biggest frustration, internet lag.
They took on the highly-popular titles Brands Hatch tracks, smashing four previous records in the process.
Riley hit a GP time of 1:11:070, with the older one being 1:11:502.
He also hit a Brands Hatch GP B time of 1:12:538, with the previous record being 1:12:751.
Meanwhile, Edwards hit an Brands Hatch Indy time of 40.440, smashing the past 44.972 time.
And he got a Indy B time of 39.956 with the previous being 40:133.
Matthew Battison, Creative Director at Codemasters said: “We applaud Dan and Joshimuz for breaking the record on GRID Legends.

The records were obliterated as part of EE’s new Broadband Made for Gamers bundle launch.
That includes its new bespoke Game Mode feature, with speeds of up to 1.6Gbps.

And it was completed using an Xbox Series X on the hit Codemasters’ car racing Grid game.
