An Arsenal transfer insider, who posts under the anonymous profile Team News and Ticks, has said that Pedro Neto is more likely to join Tottenham Hotspur than Arsenal this summer.

Tottenham are keen on Pedro Neto

Last week, CaughtOffside revealed that Tottenham are ready to step up their pursuit of Neto, with Ange Postecoglou said to be keen on adding more firepower to his frontline before the start of the new season.

The report claimed that the Spurs head coach had identified the Wolves star as an important piece of the jigsaw and that the Lilywhites had already spoken to the player’s entourage about a potential transfer.

Interestingly though, the outlet added that Tottenham could face competition for Neto from their North London rivals, with Arsenal said to be keen on bringing a left-footed wide player through the door.

Neto is more likely to join Spurs than Arsenal

However, Ticks News and Ticks believe that the Gunners are not likely to spend as much as Spurs are on the Portugal international.

He said on his Patreon page: “If I had a gun to my head now and I had to answer I would say that Tottenham are more likely.

“Just because he’s lower down our list and they could swoop in while we’re exploring other opportunities. I also think they would go for a higher price to him than we would.”

Out of Neto, Eze and Solanke, who are the three players who are now being most heavily linked with a move to Tottenham, the Wolves star seems like the most gettable, but his injury problems over the last couple of years are a matter of concern.

The question is: is Neto worth around £60m when he might only play half a season each year?
