1 Member of CIX Is Leaving, K-Pop Boy Band to Move Forward With 4 Members

Bae Jin Young is leaving CIX.

C9 Entertainment confirmed that the 24-year-old boy band member decided not to renew his exclusive contract with the agency.

On August 5, C9 Entertainment released an official statement announcing the end of Bae Jin Young’s exclusive contract with the agency. Going forward, CIX will continue to promote music with four members: BX, Seunghun, Yonghee, and Hyunsuk.

“We express our gratitude to BAE JINYOUNG for his hard work as a member of CIX and ask for your continued support,” the agency said, via Soompi. “CIX will continue their activities with four members…they are currently preparing for a new album to be released in the second half of the year, along with various performances.”

Bae Jin Young made his debut as a member of Wanna One in 2017 after starring on Produce 101 Season 2, and re-debuted as a member of CIX in 2019.
