Nintendo Switch owners can get two months of NSO completely free – here’s how

THE Nintendo Switch Online subscription lets players not only to jump into hundreds of multiplayer games that require it, but also gives access to over 160 classic titles.

Its Expansion Pack top-up tier adds another 100 classic games, plus access to DLC for popular games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing.

Thanks to a limited-time offer, Switch owners can now get 2 months of any Nintendo Switch Online membership plan completely free.

Anyone who buys a 12-month NSO plan of any type, including players who stack another year to their existing subscription, will receive an additional 2 months for free.

So, if you purchase 12 months during the promo period, you will get 14 months added to your subscription at the same price.

The deal will run until September 8, 2024, and to grab it you just go to the NSO app on your Switch and renew from the Membership Options & Support section.

The offer is part of Nintendo’s Mega Multiplayer Festival, which just kicked off and will feature a number of other activities, bonuses and discounts.

Starting today, August 5, 2024, bonus Gold Points will be available for select multiplayer games purchased via the Nintendo eShop.

During the Mega Gold Point promotion, purchases of some titles earn stwice as much Gold Points for all Switch owners.

The selected titles include the latest Pokémon titles, Super Smash Bros, Super Mario Party, Animal Crossing and more.

Nintendo Switch Online members are getting an even sweeter deal as their purchases will earn them four times the regular amount of Gold Points.

The bonus Gold Points will be given away for purchases made until August 18, 2024, so now’s the time to check the full selection of games.

Gold Points are quite valuable as players can use them to pay for their next purchase on the Nintendo eShop.

Coming up from August 19, 2024, NSO subscribers will also get free trials on four multiplayer games but the lineup is yet to be revealed.

As with other Game Trials, these will give members access to the full games for a limited time.

On August 26, Nintendo will kick off its Mega Multiplayer sale, with discounts on co-op, party and online multiplayer games.

During the Mega Multiplayer Festival, launching any Switch game with online play also earns you a bonus of 30 Platinum Points every week if you have an NSO subscription.

Platinum Points can be used for picking up collectibles, as well as elements for custom profile icons if you’re a Switch Online member.
