Monday links!

Good morning, foLLks, and happy Monday!

In Mariners news:

  • The Mariners dropped the final game of a three-game set against the Phillies, but still walked away with a series win, and Víctor Robles put on a show.

Around the league:

  • Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters that Lance McCullers Jr. is no longer expected to pitch this year. The righty has been sidelined since the 2022 World Series with numerous injuries.
  • The White Sox are promoting lefty Ky Bush, and he’ll make his big league debut starting against the A’s tomorrow. Bush was one of the key pieces Chicago received from the Angels last year in the Lucas Giolito/Reynaldo López blockbuster.
  • In AL West news, Rangers left fielder Evan Carter is also not expected to play again in 2024 due to his recurring back issues. Fortunately for him, he doesn’t anticipate surgery being on the table.
  • Dodgers righty Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw a 20-pitch bullpen, his first action on the mound since being put on the injured list in June with a rotator cuff strain.

Connor’s pick:

There’s a new scorebug joke in town, friends.
