Olympic watch parties scheduled for WNY athletes

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- With a slew of athletes with Western New York connections competing in this year's Olympic Games, local establishments are hosting watch parties as some of these stars reach their final contests.

Hamburg Taproom will be hosting a watch party at 3 p.m. on Monday to celebrate Team USA men's volleyball outside hitter and West Seneca native Matt Anderson during the team's Olympic quarterfinal match against Brazil.

The Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center will be hosting a watch party at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday to celebrate Team USA artistic swimmer and Kenmore native Anita Alvarez during the team acrobatic routine as the team looks to medal in the event.
