The Pakistan Army has announced that security forces in the country have conducted 23,622 operations against terrorist groups since the beginning of this year.

According to military officials, in the past 15 days alone, these forces have carried out 2,045 operations.

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistan Army, stated on Monday, August 5th, during a press briefing that 24 “terrorists” were killed in operations over the past 15 days.

Mr. Chaudhry mentioned that in the past seven months, 139 Pakistani security personnel have been killed in these operations.

He added that these operations are conducted by the Pakistan Army, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), police, and other law enforcement agencies.

In recent months, Pakistan has experienced a surge in militant attacks targeting both officers and civilians. The intensified operations by security forces reflect an ongoing struggle against various terrorist groups operating within the country.

The increase in attacks has raised concerns about the security situation in Pakistan, with civilians and security personnel frequently becoming targets of extremist violence.

Additionally, there has been a noticeable rise in forced deportations from Pakistan, particularly targeting Afghan refugees. The Pakistani government has faced criticism from human rights groups for these deportations, citing concerns over the humanitarian impact on displaced Afghan populations.

Amidst these developments, allegations have surfaced accusing the Afghan Taliban of supporting the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) despite denials from the Afghan Taliban leadership.

These allegations further complicate regional security dynamics and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan as both countries navigate complex challenges related to terrorism and cross-border security threats.
