Chana dal prices up 10% ahead of festive season

Chana dal prices have risen by up to 10% over the past month because of higher demand before the festive season. Despite significant imports of yellow peas, chana prices stayed high due to lower substitution. Tur dal prices fell by 5%. Increasing imports from Africa and Australia by September should stabilize prices.
