3 Saratoga County businesses fail underage drinking sting

An joint underage drinking compliance detail took place in Saratoga County last week between the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA). The enforcement detail aims to prevent underage alcohol sales.

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A joint underage drinking compliance detail took place in Saratoga County last week between the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA). The enforcement detail aims to prevent underage alcohol sales.

According to the Sheriff's Office, three businesses were not in compliance with New York Beverage Control Law Section 65: Prohibited sale to person under the age of 21. SLA's enforcement details usually involve an underage agent attempting to buy alcohol at New York State businesses.

The businesses that failed the compliance check were:

• Stewart's Shops, 1859 Route 9 in Clifton Park
• Druthers Brewing Company, 7 Southside Drive in Clifton Park
