Hot & humid to start off the week, when a cooldown comes to Central Ohio
The heat is on to start off the work week! Temperatures are pushing into the upper 80s with plans to reach the lower 90s by the second half of today. With high humidity, "feels like" values will be well into the 90s. As the week goes on, we are looking at some relief finding its way to the Columbus area.

The heat is on to start off the work week! Temperatures are pushing into the upper 80s with plans to reach the lower 90s by the second half of today. With high humidity, "feels like" values will be well into the 90s. As the week goes on, we are looking at some relief finding its way to the Columbus area.
Temperatures still remain on the higher side for the first half of the week. Overnight, we're falling close to 70 degrees. Dewpoints will remain near 70 degrees as well, so the humidity will be steady going into Tuesday. We're climbing back to the upper 80s and lower 90s Tuesday with, yet again, more humidity.
Changes start to arrive by the second half of Tuesday. A boundary will be draped across the region Tuesday and it will slowly push southward throughout the day. That will bring in increased chances for showers and a few storms late Tuesday into the overnight hours. We're looking at a few lingering showers to start off Wednesday before we trend drier by the rest of the week.
To follow, a gradual relief from the heat will settle in. We're still in the mid to upper 80s for Wednesday and into Thursday. By Friday, numbers are dropping down to the low 80s as we head into the weekend. We're looking at a pleasant setup of sunshine and clouds to carry us into the weekend.
