German stocks slide amid global market turmoil

FRANKFURT, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- The German shares continued to slide on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index closing down by 1.82 percent at 17,399 points, according to figures released by Deutsche Boerse group.

All the individual shares among the DAX composite index, except the semiconductor producer Infineon AG and the healthcare company Siemens Healthineers, retreated.
