"The Bachelorette" season 21 contestant Jonathon Johnson has come a long way since his memorable entrance on night one.

Jonathan, 27, caught Jenn Tran's attention when he arrived on a stretcher wearing a hospital gown, his face covered in bandages. His self-proclaimed diagnosis? Lovesickness.

Since then, Jonathan's connection with Jenn has been steadily growing, leading to a helicopter date in New Zealand in week five. During dinner, they connect on an emotional level as Jonathon opens up about his experience with a toxic ex.

"We've been through very similar experiences and now I feel that we can really build a great future together," Jenn says.

Jonathon and Jenn's date culminates in a romantic makeout in the rain.

"Today was like a romantic movie, and I couldn't be happier that she is the one to do it with," Jonathon says. The right person will make that rom-com love stay alive as long as you can."

Here's everything to know about Jonathon.

According to his Instagram bio, Jonathon is originally from Kansas City. Per his LinkedIn, he attended Chapman University and Grand Canyon University, and studied business administration and marketing.

Since April 2023, Jonathon has been a creative director and producer at TheLAB Creative Agency. He's also a freelance creator of user-generated content (UGC) on TikTok.

He's into fitness and healthy eating

Jonathan maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys playing lacrosse in his spare time (sometimes on "The Bachelorette," too).

His Instagram features shirtless gym selfies, and his TikTok is filled with tips for specific workouts and recommendations for healthy food swaps.

Jonathon's ideal date is fun and wholesome

In a questionnaire for BachelorNation.com, Jonathan shared that his perfect date is a mix of fun and wholesome.

To break the ice, he'd start the date with an activity like an arcade, mini golf, or go-karts. "Step two" would involve dinner, to have an "amazing honest/vulnerable conversation where we both get to know each other better." The outing would be topped off by going on a walk or having a drink on the beach.

He's a proud 'medium king' and a 'hopeless romantic'

At 5 feet 10 inches tall, Jonathon identifies as a "medium king."

"We don't have the personality of short kings. We also don't have the sex appeal of tall kings; it's not in our vocabulary," he said in an Instagram video. "What we do have is very moderate personalities, very average height, and above-average potential."

Although Jonathan has been burned before, he's eager to see if he can give Jenn the "ferocious love" she's looking for.

"It tore me down and it took this kid who grew up as a hopeless romantic, wanting that rom-com love, and it absolutely destroyed me to my core," he told Jenn of his past relationship.

According to his ABC bio, Jonathon doesn't think chivalry is dead.

"I treat every girl the same way I would want to see my mother and sister treated," he said.
