When is the first day of school in New York City? 2024-2025 calendar is out
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Summer vacation is in full effect, leaving one thing on the minds of parents in New York City -- when is the first day of school?
According to New York City's Department of Education, the first day of the 2024-2025 school year will be Sept. 5. Parent-teacher conferences will start to kick off in mid-September, with the first days with closures being Oct. 3 and 4 for Rosh Hashanah.
The last day of the school year is June 26, according to the calendar.
