FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Monday Evening,

It has been a very warm start to the week, as temps climbed into the 90s for the 22nd time this year. Tonight will be another partly cloudy, and muggy night, with lows only dropping into the upper 60s to low 70s.

Tuesday, a weak front to our north will slowly sag south into our area. This will allow temps to warm quickly into the afternoon, back into the lower 90s. By mid-afternoon, expect showers and a few pop-up storms to form ahead of this line, and as it slowly sags south will increase rain and storm chances Tuesday overnight into Wednesday morning.

The front will leave some rain showers around early on Wednesday, with clouds lagging with the cold front, and this will keep temps a few degrees below normal in the lower 80s. We will see temps rebounding on Thursday with partly cloudy skies, and highs back in the upper 80s. Friday another cold front will approach in the morning, and move through by midday.

This will keep temps near normal on Friday, and with the front fairly moisture starved, expect just an isolated chance of showers at this point. As the front moves east, it will clear us out nicely for the weekend, with much more comfortable air. Sunshine & some clouds will be expected on Saturday and Sunday, with highs barely into the 80s both days.

In fact, areas north of Columbus could stay in the 70s for highs on Sunday. Morning lows Sunday will start in the upper 50s in the city, and mid 50s outside the city. Monday expect partly cloudy skies in our area, with highs in the lower 80s.
