Rebecca Sudwarts, a fashion fan from the UK, proudly took to social media to show off her latest Tesco F&F clothing haul, leaving many open-mouthed.

She chose five ‘bloat-friendly’ outfits that are super affordable and incredibly stylish too.

As she held up her purchases, she said: “I’ve been shopping at Tesco again, I have some fab finds to share with you.”

The ex Senior Fashion Buyer, who wears clothes between a size 14 and a size 16, kicked off the haul with a stunning striped co-ord, as she beamed: “I love these sets.”

The F&F fan bought the trousers for £18 and the top for £16, as she continued: “They did them in so many different colours, it’s a really nice, lightweight knit.”

Rebecca then tried on a gorgeous red dress, which she thinks is perfect for summer.

As she modelled the beautiful £25 frock, she beamed: “Saw this dress, loved it instantly. Look how much fabric you get.

“Love the colour, such an easy dress to sling on.

“You’ll be comfy in it all day, perfect for those bloated days. Gorgeous.”

For the third outfit, Rebecca tried on a pink dress, which has a price tag of £19.50.

Beaming with the buy, the content creator shared: “Love the colour, they also did this in other colourways as well.

“It would be such a perfect dress for a holiday.”

Is supermarket fashion the new high street?

DEPUTY Fashion Editor Abby McHale weighs in:

The supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, as you head in to do your weekly food shop you can also pick up a selection of purse-friendly, stylish pieces for all the family.

Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent increase in the quarter thanks to a ‘strong growth in clothing’ and M&S has earnt the title of the number one destination for womenswear on the high street.

Asda’s clothing line George has made £1.5 million for the supermarket in 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury’s clothes sold at full price rather than discounted and Nutmeg at Morrisons sales are also up 2 per cent in the past year.

So what is it about supermarket fashion that is becoming so successful?

Apart from the clothing actually being affordable, it’s good quality too – with many being part of schemes such as the Better Cotton Initiative.

A lot of the time they keep to classic pieces that they know will last the customer year after year.

Plus because they buy so much stock they can turn around pieces quickly and buy for cheaper because of the volumes.

Rebecca then modelled a £22 red dress, as she beamed: “It’s super comfy, pulls you in at your waist.

“It’s got such a lovely detail, it’s palm print with little pom poms, love the colour.”

And for the final outfit of her summer haul, she rocked a jaw-dropping one shoulder dress, which is just £22.50.

Reasons to shop supermarket fashion

When looking for new pieces to add to your seasonal wardrobe, or update your basics, there's no need to spend hours walking around clothes shops, or scrolling online. Just pick up a dress or two alongside your fruit and veg...

They’re convenient – Chances are you visit your supermarket more times than a shopping centre or high street.

It’s affordable – For basics  to more fashion-led pieces, supermarkets are leading the way for budget fashion that doesn’t look cheap.

They’re more on-trend that you think – With a customer database larger than the average high street store, shops like ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Tesco are able to cater to the markets and predict trends in a lot more areas than just food supply.

They fit well – Fits and lengths often come with a little more modesty in mind. Fabrics are often highly practical too—think plenty of 100% cotton that can be thrown into the washing machine without thought.

Thrilled with the flattering outfit, the influencer shared: “This is a clever design dress. Look at this ruching detail, overlay mesh, is that not creating such an amazing shape?

“Hiding my problem area which is my tummy. This is a winning dress. Such a great find.”

Rebecca later explained: “These outfits are so comfy and easy to wear in the summer, I love bloat friendly outfits so much!”
