Fortnite continues to move apace towards its season end and while we already know that the next season is going to be largely Marvel-themed, we still have some of the current season to dispense with, and it seems like that one is not going to go quietly, at least according to prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX who has been spilling his reliable beans on X this morning.
First of all they posted that the Pandora’s Box event was set to return this season as a mini-event before later doubling down and adding that Fall Guys will be playable in-game as an event.
Posting on X they said, “Fall Guys will be playable in Battle Royale as a mid-game Gameplay Event, where you compete with players for Epic & Legendary Loot,” before going on to clarify to a question that the mode would be similar in function to the UFO mini-game.

Not everybody was happy (I mean, you have met the internet haven’t you?) with some expressing the opinion that the game is changing too much from the original format that people know and love so much.
The addition of Fall Guys as another Epic IP has been talked about for a while, especially with last year’s additions of Lego Fortnight and Rocket Racing and the like. Whether this short-term arrival is a glorified tech test and to judge how popular it is, is anybody’s guess, but this is Epic Games and it rarely proceeds with anything without reason.
As yet any further details are sketchy but as the current season only has a few more days left to run these new bits are definitely imminently. Normally we would always advise you to take any leak and rumor with a pinch of salt, but HypeX is as top-tier as they get so we would be more surprised if they didn’t happen.
Speedy Update: HypeX has now posted that the event will start in four days time.
