I live in a tiny house & crawl through my bedroom because the ceiling is so low, it’s annoying but I save so much money

A YOUNG woman has revealed the realities of living in a tiny home – good and bagd.

Bresha Jeanae took to social media to show off her new home and despite it being on wheels looked like a quaint cottage form the outside with white and black wooden panelled walls.

But her bedroom showed a different reality as she couldn’t even stand up[/caption]

Inside was a modern minimalist dream house with warm beige tones running throughout the space.

But there was one feature that left everyone baffled, her ceiling.

The ceiling was low that even 5ft 2 Bresha had to crawl around her bedroom and couldn’t stand up inside.

In the clip, you could see the young woman attempt to make her bed in the small space.

Making a double bed isn’t an easy task but to make matters worse Bresha had to do it completely bent over as there was no room for her to stand.

Responding to comments, Bresha said: “I knew that the ceiling was going to be this low when I got it, the reason you cannot raise this ceiling is because this tiny home, specifically it’s considered an RV park home, so it sits on wheels at all times and it can be moved anywhere.”

Bresha revealed she couldn’t make the ceiling higher as her tiny home had to be lower 309 square feet for it to fall into an RV home, and that meant she didn’t have to pay property tax.

If she extended the van, she would have to pay property tax so she decided against it.

Bresha continued: “Personally it does not bother me, the only time that I regret having my bedroom up there is when I have to a make my bed and when I’m like redecorating or something, because I do have to be bent over.”

“If you’re claustrophobic I 10 out of 10 would not recommend.”

The clip posted to her TikTok account @breshajeanae has since gone viral with over 2 million views and 94k likes.

People were quick to share their thoughts in the comments section of the post.

One person wrote: “My back hurting watching this.”

Another commented: “Yes you’re avoiding property tax but will definitely pay in back pain cost.”

Why I could never live in a tiny home

Tiny homes are getting increasingly popular in the UK, especially in the cost of living crisis when first-time buyers are struggling to get on the property ladder or current homeowners are having to pay ridiculous interest rates on mortgages.

But Rebecca Miller, Fabulous’ Associate Editor, has shared why living in a tiny home would be her idea of a nightmare.

“I’m currently in the process of selling my flat and buying a house, and as I pack up all my belongings, I’m worried where it is all going to go – there is so much stuff!

Fortunately, I’m very privileged to be buying a house with more square feet than my current flat.

But it got me wondering, could I ever live in a small space? And the answer is no.

  1. Less personal space

Living with another person immediately cuts down on personal space, but remove several rooms, and I’d be left with only the bathroom as my sanctuary. I’m not sure I’d be able to cope!

  1. Less storage space

I’m like a magpie, I like collecting pretty things, and I like my belongings to be organised. With limited storage space, I’d find it really hard to keep everything neat and tidy.

  1. Can’t play host

One of the joys of being an independent adult is being able to host – friends, family, overnight stays, and dinner parties. Where would I gather everyone for a Sunday lunch if my table only sat two? Not to mention, how would I cook a Sunday lunch?

  1. No room to grow

Both as an individual, as part of a couple and also my hobbies, can be restricted by physical space. When I first moved into my flat, I was overjoyed at having my own balcony, and it has been a space where my love for gardening has grown. Five years on, my balcony is now overflowing with plants, and I’ve had to set up a mini propagator in the living room!

“My claustrophobia could never,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Too closed in. I would literally have a panic attack. Bless you.”

“Your tiny house is SOOO CUTE!!! Minimalistic too which I absolutely love!” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “Go girl because I couldn’t do it.”
