TV personality and author Richard Osman, 53, has revealed that he’s hard at work on a new edition in his hit murder mystery series.

He made the announcement on his social media as he posted an exciting image to his Instagram grid page.

The photo showed an empty notebook with the letters ‘TTMC 5’, scribbled at the top of the page.

Fans thought this may have signalled the start of work on the fifth instalment in the hit novel franchise.

Richard seemed to have confirmed the news as he captioned the post: “Every new book starts somewhere #notes #ThursdayMurderClub2025.”

So far, the media personality has published four novels that focus on a quartet of sleuthing pensioners.

This comes after Dame Helen Mirren was spotted on the set of the upcoming film adaptation.

The British acting legend was spotted in costume as she prepared to play the retired spy, Elizabeth Best.

Dame Helen was spotted in a tartan skirt, and a gilet that covered various layers of shirts and cardigans.

The star was all smiles, as her hair was covered by a lightweight head scarf while she also sported a decorative walking stick.

She was joined by co-star Celia Imrie, 72, who will star alongside the legend as she plays the role of Joyce Meadowcroft.

Completing the A-list line-up is Sir Ben Kingsley (Ibrahim Arif) and Pierce Brosnan (as Ron Ritchie).

The cast will also include the likes of David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Richard E. Grant, and Naomi Ackie.

Former Harry Potter director Chris Columbus is the man in charge to direct the project.
