Love Island fans spot two massive clues show couple is ‘on the verge of a split’
LOVE Island fans are convinced they’ve spotted two huge clues one couple is “on the verge of a split.”
Eagle-eyed followers of the ITV2 series – which wrapped this month – are now analysing the post-villa antics of some of the most popular couples.
They reckon Joey Essex, 33, let slip a number of telling signs during a recent interview on ITV daytime series, This Morning.
On the mid-morning programme, he appeared loved-up with show partner Jessy Potts, 25, as he revealed he was quitting the UK to find fame in America
Yet this has irked loyal Love Island fans – who believe it shows disrespect for Jessy and cracks in their relationship.
One took to Reddit to remark: “Not one time did he ever consider the fact that Jessy may or may not come with him to America – and quite frankly, I don’t think he gives a damn if she does.
“How will Jessy even get to America? Is she going to America?
“Logistically speaking, Jessy isn’t gonna stop her career to see her boyfriend filming on set for some reality tv show.”
They also added: “It’s also safe to say that he doesn’t take her feelings into consideration when he constantly says, in various interviews and also on Love Island, that he went to the villa for a laugh. Joey didn’t give a s**t who he was paired with, as long as he got into the final as promised (which completely landed flat on his face).
“All of this leads me to think that Joey’s always gonna look out for number one – himself.
“Everything is me, me, me. Everyone called a spade a spade on day 52 – Joey is a game player who will always prioritise his career before anything else.”
Joey was recently nowhere to be seen as Jessy enjoyed a lavish homecoming party.
This sparked further rumours they were on the rocks, with one fan also adding on Reddit: “Joey only cares about Joey. Jessy is just an accessory to him and he doesn’t care what happens because he’s the main character. He wants someone to be around to support his greatness.”
Another mused: “The only way I see their relationship lasting even the next few months is if an opportunity comes his way to do something with her, e.g. ‘Joey & Jessy take… something’ style of show.”
Yet one took the TOWIE alumni’s corner and wrote: “I mean you might be right but you’re also making huge assumptions about something you don’t really know a huge deal about.”

During his This Morning chat Joey told how Love Island will be his last ever reality show.
Show anchor Josie Gibson asked him: “Is it true that you’re quitting reality TV?”
Joey replied: “I’m taking a huge break. I feel like I’ve done every reality show possible now.
“I don’t think I’d really want to do Strictly. I’m just taking a break. I’ve got some opportunities over in America at the moment so I feel like I might maybe take it over there.”
Yet, in a defiant message to the haters, Joey exclusively told The Sun how he has “found the one” in Jessy.
