According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur have now reached out to Bournemouth to discuss a potential deal for Dominic Solanke.

Tottenham make contact with Bournemouth

There has been plenty of speculation linking Solanke with a move to Spurs over the last week and Football Insider have now become the latest outlet to report on the story.

They claim that Ange Postecoglou is keen to add a top-class number nine to his squad to fill the void left by Harry Kane, with the 26-year-old thought to have been identified as a target.

In fact, Spurs are now alleged to hold a ‘strong interest’ in Solanke and have now allegedly spoken to Bournemouth about the player.

The Englishman is also said to be keen on moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but as things stand, the Lilywhites are yet to present an official offer.

The publication adds that the Cherries are now ‘braced for bids’ to arrive for their star striker, who has a release clause of £65m on his contract.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs would actually be willing to meet that clause this summer.

Initial exploratory contacts are not something to be excited about as it seems quite clear that Bournemouth would stick to their guns and demand that Solanke’s release clause be met.

I would be extremely surprised if Tottenham broke their transfer record to sign the former Liverpool man.
