SCSO: Two arrested for alleged drug possession

Deputies arrested two people on Thursday for felony drug and paraphernalia possession.

SARATOGA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Deputies arrested two people on Thursday for felony drug and paraphernalia possession. Steven Fitzgerald, 42, of Lake Luzerne, and Melanie Chaney, 51, of Castleton on Hudson, were arrested after deputies were called to Lamplighter Acres in Moreau for an active burglary call.

Deputies said the two are accused of having narcotic drugs with the intent to sell them, having half an ounce or more of cocaine, and having a scale used for drugs with the intent to use it to distribute controlled substances. Both were arranged in Moreau Town Court and released pending further action.
