ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Happy Tuesday everyone! Meteorologist Matt Mackie says we'll get a few breaks of sunshine but there will likely be more showers later in the day with temperatures in the low to mid 70s.

There was a stabbing in Cohoes and the town leadership hosted an emergency public safety meeting. Also, there's a boil water advisory in Schodack. This, and more, in your five things to know this Tuesday.

1. Police respond to stabbing at Cohoes Burger King

NEWS10 confirmed with the Cohoes Police Chief one person was stabbed at a Burger King Sunday night. Authorities say the victim suffered a minor injury to the neck and has since been released from the hospital.

2. Cohoes leaders hold emergency Public Safety meeting

In light of the recent violence in the City of Cohoes concerns for public safety have city leaders on alert. The Cohoes Common Council held a special public safety meeting to address those concerns on Monday.

3. Water main break, boil water advisory in Schodack

The town of Schodack has announced a water main break near the Columbia Turnpike and a boil water advisory is in effect. According to a supervisor from the town, this does not apply to Clearview, Maplecrest, and Batista water districts.

4. Berlin schools enforce no phone policy in classrooms

In an update to the district’s code of conduct, Berlin Middle and High School will begin enforcing a new cell phone and electronic device policy this fall. The new policy will prohibit using cell phones and headphones, which must be left in students’ lockers between 7:20 a.m. and 2:07 p.m. to reduce classroom distractions.

5. 3 Saratoga County businesses fail underage drinking sting

A joint underage drinking compliance detail took place in Saratoga County last week between the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA). The enforcement detail aims to prevent underage alcohol sales.
