Near Record Heat Back in Acadiana

Near record high temperatures are expected in Acadiana for the rest of the workweek with minimal rain chances. Temperatures are in the 70s to 80s this morning followed by highs around 100°. The record high in Lafayette for this date is 102° and was set last year. "Feels Like" Temperatures will be back in in the range of 110° to 120° during the afternoon.

Dangerously hot weather continues into the weekend but models are showing a weak cold front arriving on Saturday which may bring the heat and humidity levels down on Sunday.
