Two hospitalized from separate overnight Columbus shootings

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Two adults are recovering after separate overnight shootings on the northeast and east side of the city.

According to Columbus police, one person was shot multiple times, but is expected to survive, after a shooting took place at 11:28 p.m. Monday in the Forest Park East neighborhood. Officers arrived to the Essington Village Apartments on Tamarack Circle North after reports of a shooting.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in stable condition and is expected to survive.

A second adult was found on Bulen Avenue, south of East Livingston Avenue, at 1:22 a.m. in the Driving Park neighborhood. Police said that the victim, who is also expected to survive, was suffering from a single gunshot wound and taken to a nearby hospital.

Police have not released any suspect information or what led to either shooting.
