The banana flavouring replaces the classic jam filling that Brits have grown to love over the years.

The biscuits were first launched in the UK in July 2022 inspired by the Minions film, The Rise of Gru.

This is not the first new flavour the biscuit company has tried – other tempting flavours have been launched such as cherry and apple.

Shoppers took to Facebook to share their thoughts on the rare sweet treats.

One shopper said: “I would like these please thank you.”

Another said: “Your mam would enjoy these.”

And: “This is your birthday present.”

And “These look nice.”

However, the unusual biscuit also created a backlash online, with dissenters hitting out at the treat.

One said: “They look absolutely awful.”

And: “Tried them. They are nasty.”

The main detractor said: “It’s a crime.”

One customer seemed conflicted when he said: “Sounds vile, but 69p for Jammy Dodgers. Sign me up.”

Banana Jammie Dodgers were spotted in  Home Bargains a few months ago.

One user said: “I loved these need more please.”

Another said: “Will look out for these. Sounds lush.”

“Looks yummy,” said someone else.  A fourth user said: “Yes to those.”

You’ve got to head into a Home Bargains store to get your hands on these though, as they are not available to buy online.

You can use the Home Bargains store locator tool on its website to find your nearest store.

It is possible to buy the banana Jammie Dodgers from an online store like Amazon or eBay.

But prices do start from £7.99 for one pack and that doesn’t include shipping.

There have been quite a few players entering the biscuit grounding in the past few months.

Meanwhile Tesco is now selling strawberry-flavoured Jammie Dodgers biscuits – and shoppers have gone wild for them.

Facebook user shared their thoughts: “These are banging.”

“Sweet mother of god” another replied.

A third user said: “Can confirm very nice.”

Raspberry, apple and blackcurrant filled Jammie Dodgers can already be found in online Tesco stores.
