Universal’s Horror Nights reveals 4 scare zones: Punks, crows, wrestlers and royalty

Halloween Horror Nights returns to Universal Studios Hollywood on select nights from Sept. 5 to Nov. 3.

The Killer Z’s will be back haunting the night streets of Universal’s Horror Nights as hordes of chainsaw-wielding punk rockers, masked Lucha Libre wrestlers, undead royalty and a murderous flock of crows take over the scare zones at the Hollywood theme park.

Universal Studios Hollywood has revealed all four scare zones coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2024.

Halloween Horror Nights 2024 will feature eight new haunted mazes along with four scare zones and the Terror Tram on select nights from Sept. 5 through Nov. 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Three of the four Horror Nights scare zones once again tack a Z onto the end of their names in what’s become a Killer Z’s tradition.

The Chainsaw Punkz scare zone arms masked and mohawked punk rockers with a terrifying arsenal of chainsaws.

The Murder of Crowz scare zone drops Universal visitors into a massive crow’s nest where the enraged flock is determined to pick their bones clean.

The Skull Lordz scare zone steps into a spectral kingdom where a royal court of undead gothic kings and queens reign over the night.

The Luchadores Monstruosos scare zone dispenses with the Z’s in a Lucha Libre horror film come to life with a pair of masked wrestlers squaring off against a horde of monsters.

So far, Universal Studios Hollywood has announced seven of the eight mazes coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2024:

• Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
• A Quiet Place
• Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines
• Dead Exposure: Death Valley
• Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America

The separate admission Horror Nights event is not included with daily admission to Universal Studios Hollywood. Universal is selling an Early Access Ticket that provides entrance to select haunted mazes 90 minutes before Horror Nights officially begins each night at 7 p.m. Horror Nights season passes, front-of-the-line passes and VIP tours are also available for the event.
