Trump says he will sit for interview with Elon Musk
Former President Trump said Tuesday he will be interviewed by billionaire tech and media mogul Elon Musk next week.
"ON MONDAY NIGHT I’LL BE DOING A MAJOR INTERVIEW WITH ELON MUSK — Details to follow," Trump wrote in a short post on his Truth Social website.
The former president's announcement comes just days after he hosted internet influencer Adin Ross at his Mar-a-Lago residence as he works to keep online buzz churning around his campaign for a second term in the White House.
Musk is the owner of social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and has a history of boosting conservative content creators and conspiracy theories.
The tech mogul late last month scaled down his commitment to donate tens of millions of dollars to Trump's campaign per month, saying he plans to give "at a much lower level.”
Trump has participated in a number of interviews on Fox News and elsewhere across conservative media in recent weeks, but is facing intensifying pressure to debate Vice President Harris, who has said she is willing to face off with Trump on Sept. 10 on ABC. Trump has said he will not debate Harris on ABC, citing what he says is the network's bias against him, and proposing Harris debate him a week earlier at an event hosted by Fox News.
