Fraud Involving ADHD Drugs Prompts CDC Warning About Injury, Overdose

The leaders of a large digital health company called Done Global Inc were recently indicted for distributing Adderall as well as other stimulants to people who might not medically qualify and submitting fraudulent claims for reimbursements, the US Department of Justice announced. The disruption could affect as many as 30 000 to 50 000 adult patients in the US with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) who relied on the company or other similar telehealth platforms to obtain prescription stimulants to treat their condition, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said in an alert.
