Horror as woman falls screaming through trapdoor on Blackpool Pier in terrifying accident
A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital after falling through Blackpool Pier.
Police, paramedics and fire crews raced to the incident at the city’s Central Pier at around 4.30pm.
It is understood she may have fallen through part of the pier and landed on the beach below, Manchester Evening News reports.
One witness who was at the beach with his children said: “I was walking the beach with my kids and heard a thud.”
The site was evacuated and closed off following the incident.
A hole could be seen in the wooden pier.
The woman’s injuries are not yet known.
